A Ministry Gifts, Values and Leadership Style Ministry Tool for Churches Implementing a Gifts-Driven Ministry

ChurchSHAPE Ministry Program© is the software program that is installed on the church computer and provides immediate sorting by any item in TheSHAPE©. It is a database that includes all the records of TheSHAPE©. Every church participant is encouraged to complete TheSHAPE©. Its purpose is to house all persons in a database that allows leaders to invite volunteers into various ministries through the church. The SHAPE tools are all available without charge to churches desiring ministry from the Baptist General Convention of Missouri. These tools highlight our first priority of serving churches. The church must purchase the SelectSurvey ASP software.

Getting Started with ChurchSHAPE©

1. Contact Verlyn Bergen, BGCM Relationships and Resources Team Leader, 888.420.2426 x702.

2. SelectSurvey ASP software - $228 when purchased through BGCM (BGCM purchases the software and provides it to the church) or $285 when purchased individually from ClassApps.com.

3. A church web site with at least 20 megs of free space on the web site server. SelectSurveyASP runs on any Windows web server that supports Active Server Pages (ASP). To keep this as simple as possible, just ask your system administrator or ISP if you can run Active Server Pages on the web site. If the answer is yes, you can run this software.

4. Microsoft Office Professional (including Microsoft Access) (the version can either be 97-2003 or 2007) installed on the church computer that operates the ChurchSHAPE Ministry Program© software. The ChurchSHAPE Ministry Program© software is available for download from this site. The computer operating system can either by Windows XP or Vista.

5. Microsoft Office Professional (including Microsoft Access) (the version can either be 97-2003 or 2007) installed on the computer that generates TheSHAPE Reports©. The software for generating TheSHAPE Reports© is available for download from this site. The computer operating system can either by Windows XP or Vista.

6. Someone willing to generate TheSHAPE Reports© (these reports can be generated on a home computer) and someone to operate and maintain the ChurchSHAPE Ministry Program© on the church computer system. Both of these computers need to have Microsoft Office Professional (including Microsoft Access) (the version can either be 97-2003 or 2007) installed. The computer operating system can either by Windows XP or Vista.

7. A tech person willing to work with BGCM in setting up the entire system.
