Preparing for retirement is an example of good
stewardship and the responsibility of every Christian. Churches are also
responsible for assisting their pastors and
other church staff members as they prepare for retirement. Some churches
have expressed concern that their church may not have access to traditional
convention programs due to denominational conflict and policy changes.
The Board of Directors recently approved a
recommendation to become an Affiliate Partner with the Ministers and
Missionaries Benefit Board.
The employer-funded
Protection against the financial peril of disability before retirement;
The security of knowing that loved ones would receive substantial death benefits if the member were to die before retirement; and
Confidence from knowing that the member is building valuable assets for the future.
Other important components of a comprehensive benefit program include:
The Annuity Supplement (TAS) which accepts your monthly contributions on a pre-tax and/or after-tax basis as well as rollovers from other retirement plans
The Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA) which gives your employer a flexible way to build supplemental retirement income for you
