Teaching
church members Biblical stewardship is at the heart of
Christian discipleship. A church's stewardship program
and resource base only grows as individual members and
families come to understand the nature of Christian
discipleship and then apply the principles of Biblical
stewardship to their everyday lives. The Baptist
General Convention of Missouri is committed to assisting
church leaders with practical stewardship resources.
The
Giving Life is a resource packet that includes all
the items needed to conduct a three-week annual
stewardship emphasis in your church. The packet includes
an emphasis guide, a 16-page pastor leadership resource
manual, Bible study lessons, worship handouts, posters,
commitment cards, and offering envelopes. The guide
provides an overview of the emphasis, and the resource
manual includes instructions, sample letters, two
dramatic sketches, and sermon materials. The basic
church packet includes 200 worship handouts, 200
commitment cards, 200 offering envelopes, and 20
posters. There are reproducible Bible study lessons for
adult, youth, children, and preschool age groups
including leader guides. (Additional quantities of the
worship handouts, commitment cards, offering envelopes
and posters are available for larger congregations.)
The Giving Life materials are available to
Baptist churches in Missouri free of charge.
