At the Baptist General Convention of Missouri’s 2004 annual meeting, money was raised to help a church in China build a building. With $10,000 raised by the BGCM, construction has begun on the new church building.
Missionary Faye Pearson, who first mentioned the need to Harlan Spurgeon, writes: “God used you to answer the prayers of a young seminary couple. God used you to encourage a lay-pastor in north China. God used you to increase the faith of believers in Jilin Province. Thank you for listening to Harlan’s heart. Thank you for responding so quickly. Thank you for giving so sacrificially. Thank you for believing in God’s Church in this land. Thank you for making it possible for believers to be able to worship indoors instead of outside during the cold months. Thank you for lifting my spirits.” Join us as we rejoice and praise God for this wonderful work!
