At the Baptist General Convention of Missouri’s 2004 annual meeting, money was raised to help a church in China build a building. With $10,000 raised by the BGCM, construction has begun on the new church building.
Zhangshun, a Chinese lay pastor, and Zhu Liangfang, a Chinese lay leader, write: “We, brothers and sisters, from the Binghe Christian Church are so very thankful to receive your offering. It makes us really know our God is the One who hears our prayers each day. Our church lies in Nongan county of Jilin Province in the northeast flatlands of China. There are about 200 believers in worship and the number is increasing quickly. Many people who come to worship must stand outside because the building is too small for the crowd. ...When we received your gift of love it strengthen[ed] our faith and our conviction that we must build the new church building. We treasure you labor of love. We cannot but thank our heavenly Father for you love and support.” Join us as we rejoice and praise God for this wonderful work! And please pray for this church and its leaders and they continue to build and reach more people with the love of Jesus. |
