A Ministry Gifts, Values and Leadership Style Inventory

Purpose:
The TheSHAPE© is an assessment tool which describes many different aspects of who you are as a person. It is designed to help you understand yourself as a person who has been gifted by God to serve in a particular ministry situation. We believe that until we discover how God made us and where He wants to use us, we will not feel completely fulfilled. MinistryConnect created the TheSHAPE© to help you accomplish just that.

We believe you will find this process very helpful in discovering a fruitful and fulfilling ministry. The process can provide you three helpful pieces of information: 1) Options for ministry opportunities that are “you,” 2) Strengths discovery, and 3) Types of people who work best with you. In addition, the TheSHAPE© process can give you insight into why you relate to certain people the way you do, why you struggle to get along with some people, and what you can do about those struggles.

Description:

You will learn a great deal about yourself by completing these exercises. Please take your time. Answer each question based on how you believe you really are, not how you want to be, how you think you should be, or how you believe others think you should be. The best approach is to complete each statement with your first impression. Do not misrepresent yourself. It is not to your advantage since you probably do not want to minister in a position you would not like. Answer each question as honestly as you can with first impressions.

It is recommended that once a candidate is being seriously considered by a church that the church request that candidates complete the TheSHAPE.

Input:

This will be an exciting adventure for you. It will take approximately 75 minutes to complete the TheSHAPE. You must complete it in one setting. Please do not attempt to rush the process.
YOU MUST REGISTER AGAIN even though you registered to complete the Minister Profile. If you have already completed a Minister Profile, use the same "Username" as you used when registering to complete the Minister Profile.
You cannot return to the TheSHAPE or edit your responses once you have completed it or canceled the input.

One more important instruction. Please do not attempt to go back by using the "Back" button on your browser once you have begun the TheSHAPE. This can cause damage to the database and cause your report to be inaccurate. Each response is recorded instantly when you respond so that no data is lost.

There are a number of instructions needed to complete the TheSHAPE accurately. You might want to print the instructions before you begin so that you can refer to them during the process.
