of Baptists around
the World!
The Baptist General Convention of Missouri encourages you and your church to join us in celebrating and worshipping God’s greatest gift by helping share the love of Jesus around the world through our World Missions Offering. The BGCM channels gifts to the mission agencies you choose. All undesignated gifts for World Missions will go to the BWA to help its vital ministries around the world. Through giving to this offering you can help fulfill the call of Jesus in Acts 1:8 to be witnesses to “the remotest part of the earth.”
The BWA unites over 200 Baptist bodies and about 80 million worshippers around the world for fellowship, ministry, worship, and the defense of human rights and religious liberty. The BWA shares news about Baptists around the globe through publications and their website (www.bwanet.org), and links up Baptist groups and individuals for ministry and evangelism through partnerships conferences, and other resources. The BWA encourages and fights for those Baptist communities that are oppressed and do not have the religious freedoms we often take for granted. The BWA also works to bring Baptist groups together for fellowship and unity.
Finally, the BWA’s relief arm (BWAid) assists with human needs such as the recent Tsunami, earthquake, and hurricane disasters. To give to the World Missions Offering is to literally unite with your brothers and sisters around the world to help share the love of Jesus. It is an opportunity to help the ministries and work of some of the struggling Baptists around the globe and offer encouragement to those trying to present the Gospel and remain faithful in regions where the government has attempted to remove the right to worship. Please join us in sharing the love of Jesus around the world by sending your offerings to the BGCM marked “World Missions.” And please pray for the important ministries of the BWA so that many more people would come to know God’s great gift that came to us that first Christmas.
